Terms of business

Our status and scope
Blackline Capital Partners Limited (Company No. 17356872), The Dovecote, Pury Hill Business Park, Alderton Road, Towcester, NN12 7LS, is an Appointed Representative of Moorgate Finance Limited T/A MBN®. MBN is a trading style of Moorgate Finance Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, FRN 662419. Our FRN is 1063138, and you can check this on the FCA Register.
We are a credit broker, not a lender. We introduce customers to a panel of lenders whose details are available on request. We are not an independent financial adviser; we may recommend a suitable option after assessing the needs and circumstances you disclose, but this may not represent every product in the market.
Our service and customer fees
We submit finance proposals to suitable lenders and explain an offer and its commitments before you proceed. You remain free to reject an offer and consider other options. We do not charge you a fee for our brokering service. A lender may charge documentation, option-to-purchase or early-settlement fees, which will be shown in its offer and agreement.
Commission disclosure
If you enter into a finance agreement, the lender will pay us commission. Different lenders pay different amounts. Depending on the lender, this may be a fixed fee, a fixed percentage of the amount borrowed, or a risk-based model. In some cases we may have influence over the interest rate, which can affect the amount you pay.
Commission is payable only if you accept an offer and enter into a finance agreement. If an introducer is involved, they may receive an introductory commission. We will disclose the nature, calculation and amount of commission during your journey, and you may request further details in writing.
Your information and responsibilities
You must give complete, accurate and honest information and tell us promptly if anything changes. A lender may rely on this information; false, misleading or withheld information may invalidate an offer or agreement. You agree to provide documents needed for identity, anti-money-laundering and financial-crime checks.
Lenders may carry out credit and identity searches, and a search may appear on your credit file. If you provide information about another person or business, you confirm that you are authorised to do so. See our privacy policy.
Offers, agreements and ending our service
All credit is subject to application, status, affordability, lender criteria and approval. An illustration is not an offer. The lender's own agreement and terms govern any finance you accept. We recommend taking independent advice before signing a finance agreement.
Either party may end this broker-services relationship by giving 30 days' written notice. We may end it sooner where information is fraudulent or misleading, these terms are materially breached, financial-crime requirements are not met, or continuing would be unlawful.
Complaints and governing law
We take complaints seriously. Please follow our complaints procedure. These terms are governed by English law and the English courts have jurisdiction. Nothing here removes your statutory rights.
